National Library Week

Prior to 2006, HASL celebrated National Library week in the month of April by providing literacy related activities and performances by participating school groups. Many school librarians were on hand to assist children at the tables and to help promote the love of reading! This event was previously held at locations such as Ward Warehouse, Windward Mall, and Waikele Mall.

Since then, HASL has changed its venue by partnering with Bess Press and sponsored a booth at the first annual Book and Music Festival on the lawn of Honolulu Hale.
